Dag 572 - simple minds for complex people

As I type this I am watching simple minds playing on the jonathan ross show. I don't know what song they are playing, but it sounds typically simple mindish and I think it is pretty good. I have seen simple minds twice in concert, the first time they were supporting magazine and the second time they were the main act (I can't remember who was supporting them, but it may have been china crisis). Both concerts were at Leeds university.
I don't know if it is the same people playing now as it was when I saw them in Leeds, but it looks like it probably is. There are 2 feelings going through my mind as I watch them. The first is that they look like a bunch of geriatrics and the second is that I wish I could be doing what they were doing.
