dag 1186: There's a ghost on the horizon

Hope there's someone

In the last week I have bumped into 2 people, on seperate days, who I hadn't seen for over 20 years. They are both people I have thought about at various times and wondered what they may be up to with their lives. It was a surprise that they are both living fairly close to me. Meeting both of them left me feeling both very excited but also a bit down (though for very different reaons).

Although they were both involved in music in the past only one still is and his myspace page can be found here. I used to play synth in Dick's band Nova Grace before I went away to Manchester Polytechnic to study Computer Science. The excitement that we might get chance to do something musically in the near future faded away a bit when I remembered how little free time I get at the moment. However we should at least manage to meet up for a cup of tea and a chat about music at some point soon. We will at least keep in touch from now on which is good.

My second chance encounter was at Leeds Railway Station but we didn't leave any contact details and didn't really get time to catch up on all that we had been doing since we last met up, which was also just before I went away to Polytechnic. That was also the last time I saw my skateboard.

They say things happen in three's so now I can only wait and wonder what third thing fate is going to bring to my door...
