Day 11: sunburst and snowblind

I was awoken this morning by the good old Scottish rain hammering against my bedroom window. I got up went downstairs and looked out of the downstairs window and it was snowing. The biggest snowflakes I have yet seen. It was already settling on the wet ground and by the time I set off for work cars were slipping arounf all over the place. The next few hours were spent monitoring the edinburgh airport website to see if my flight this afternnon would be cancelled or not, but by lunchtime the snow had turned back to rain and flights seemed to be back to normal.
